Herbert Dawkins (President)

Welcome to the website of the Jamaican /American Association of Central Florida. We are pleased that you logged on to our site. Here you will find interesting information. The Jamaican/ American Association of Central Florida is a non-profit organization founded over twenty years ago when several Jamaicans saw the need for such a group, as the number of Jamaicans in Central Florida began to increase.

We give thanks for the privilege and opportunity of being a part of the American society, where achieving dreams is still possible. We realize that we are now residing in a new land and must contribute to our new home. Our Association encourages people to be valued citizens in their local communities and participate in the democratic process of this great nation by voting in elections both locally and nationally. Remember, you cannot vote unless you are a citizen or registered voter.

Our association seeks to promote Jamaica in a favorable way, provide support for our members and encourage them to give back to the community by participating in the various outreach programs. This website provides a calendar of events that shows some of what we do. We invite you to be part of us.

If you want to be involved in a rewarding voluntary community organization, or if you have that nostalgia that makes you ache or feel something Jamaican, you should contact us. We are ready and willing to help you.

NO PROBLEM MON!

Please read our Mission Statement for more details about our association.
